Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla is a beautiful blue and green crystal that grows near Copper. It ranges in shade from bright sky-blue to deep emerald green and often has a mixture of different shades. The throat chakra Vishuddha, which translates to "especially pure" is the fifth chakra, located at the base of the throat and serves as the center for communication, self-expression, truth, and creativity. Cleopatra carried chrysocolla to help maintain calm and foster wise speech during diplomatic negotiations. Also used by ancient Egyptians for negotiation and by Greeks as a gold-soldering agent. Renaissance artists used ground chrysocolla as pigments, believing it enhanced creative energy and focus.
